Welcome to Claypit’s Newfoundlands. My name is Karla and I care for our crew on 8 acres of land in southern Minnesota. My love for the breed began in 2019 when we adopted our first Newfoundland pup. I soon fell in love with their sweet temperaments, gentle nature, calm personalities and of course their cuddable size. Each one holds a special place in my heart and are members of my family. The pups are loved, cared for, nurtured and given the best possible start in life that I can give. I want to share this awesome breed by finding the best, loving homes that they deserve. The Newfoundlands in my breeding program are AKC registered and OFA health tested. When you browse my site you will also see pictures of other dogs that are not in our breeding program. They are also important members of our family. If you’ve never owned a large breed or a Newfie, please read and learn as much as you can about the breed. Although I love the breed, that doesn’t mean they are a perfect fit for everyone.
